Dr. Ceydeli's Biography

After completing the undergraduate and medical school, Dr. Ceydeli further continued his medical training in University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Anatomy, Cell Biology & Injury Sciences. His extensive research on the basic science of cell biology and scarless wound healing won numerous awards, including one from American College of Surgeons, and one from Association for Academic Surgery. His graduation thesis was published in the most prestigious surgical basic science journal, Shock. Besides his basic science research, he also completed a clinical Trauma fellowship in New Jersey Medical School under the supervision of Dr. John H. Siegel, one of the pioneers in Trauma Surgery in United States.

Subsequently he started his General Surgery training in New York Methodist Hospital, where he also served as a chief resident. During his General Surgery residency, his interest in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery grew bigger. His creativity and surgical skills were recognized by American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and he was invited to present his invention in Aesthetic Breast Surgery in their annual meeting when he was a third year General Surgical resident. His contributions in Cosmetic Surgery were also recognized by American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and his paper was awarded the best resident paper of the year.

Upon completion of his General Surgery training, Dr. Ceydeli started his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency in Medical College of Georgia. He contributed numerous articles to Plastic Surgery literature, continued to present his innovative techniques in national meetings, and received more awards during his Plastic Surgery training.

Dr. Ceydeli was included in "2007 Guide to America's Top Plastic Surgeons" by Consumers' Research Council of America, and in multiple editions of Who's Who® in America. He was named one of the emerging leaders in Healthcare and Medicine. He is double board certified by American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery.

After finishing his Plastic Surgery training, Dr. Ceydeli also completed a prestigious Aesthetic Fellowship in Honolulu, Hawaii with Dr. Robert Flowers , one of the most innovative Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons of the century. Dr. Ceydeli is one of the few Plastic Surgeons in the country, who was accepted to this position. His fellowship in Hawaii mainly focused on Facial Aesthetic Surgery and Asian Plastic Surgery.

After completing an advanced aesthetic fellowship in Hawaii under the supervision of world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Flowers, Dr. Ceydeli settled down in Panama City Beach, Florida’s emerald coast. Due to his double board certification in plastic surgery and his advanced cosmetic surgery training with Dr. Flowers, he pioneered numerous innovative procedures, both invasive and non-invasive, in Northwest Florida.

Dr. Ceydeli, along with his mentor Dr. Flowers, invented the revolutionary “MAG-5” facial rejuvenation procedure, which changed the concept of aesthetic facial surgery in the world. They co-authored the landmark article about MAG-5 in the most prestigious plastic surgery journal, Clinics in Plastic Surgery. They presented and taught this innovative technique in numerous national and international meetings. Plastic surgeons all over the world flew to watch and learn this technique.

When the face starts migrating down south due to the gravity and aging, MAG-5 procedure relocates these facial structures back up north for the most natural and longer lasting results, unlike most of the other facial procedures like facelift, which pulls the face to east and west instead of lifting it up north where it belongs. Facelift is actually a misnomer, since the incisions made for the facelift are next to the ear, facelift technique can only pull the face towards to ears, which in most cases gives the face an unnatural, tight look. Facelift does not address the aging related changes around the eyes, brows, and the cheek tissue itself. However MAG-5 on the other hand, lifts the eyebrows, rejuvenates the lower eyelids by giving eyelid its youthful almond shape, and lifts the entire cheek tissue (not the skin alone) to its original location. And the incisions for the MAG-5 are invisible, unlike the facelift. One incision is located on the hair bearing scalp, and the other tiny incision is under the eyelid, and there are no incisions and scars in front of the ear. Due to this new concept of MAG-5, the results are natural and longer lasting.

One of the other innovative techniques he learned from Dr. Flowers, is “Valentine Mouth Rejuvenation”. Again due to gravity and aging, the corners of the mouth turn down, giving the face a sad, frowning look. Many physicians think that they can correct this problem by injecting some soft tissue fillers or doing fat transfers. However injections alone, without addressing the downturned mouth corners, make the matters worse, and patients start getting big, sausage lips, with no lip definition, which we see every day in the streets and on TV. Dr. Ceydeli addresses the aging mouth by lifting the corners of the lips with a heart-shaped design flap (a small office procedure under local anesthesia), which gives the face a happy, pleasant look. He uses the soft tissue fillers not to make the lips big, but redefine the lip borders and aesthetic lip lines. His advanced chemical peel technique and/or his state-of-the-art laser further eliminates the wrinkles around the lips and improves the texture of the skin around the mouth area. The entire procedure takes less than an hour, is performed under local anesthesia only in the office setting, and gives the lips and mouth region an instant aesthetic improvement with natural results. Guaranteed that you won’t have unnaturally big, sausage lips.

Dr. Ceydeli is the only plastic surgeon in the region performing exclusively liposuction-assisted short-scar breast lifts and reductions. Even though he developed improvements and published articles about the traditional breast lift/reduction techniques (inferior pedicle wise-pattern breast lift/reduction), he now adopted the liposuction-assisted short scar-breast lift/reduction technique, and performs this technique exclusively in all his breast lift and reduction cases, no matter how big or saggy the breast is. With this technique, he minimizes the unsightly scars underneath the breast, and more importantly he sculpts a beautiful, round, uplifted breast with longer lasting results, unlike the traditional breast lift/reduction techniques.

Dr. Ceydeli’s tummy-tucks (abdominoplasties) also differ than the rest. His tummy-tucks are not simply cutting the excess skin and fat, but rather toning and sculpturing the abdomen with sexy waistlines, creating a natural innie belly button, and placing the incisions low enough that invisible scars are created even when the lowest-cut bikini bottoms are worn.

Besides his innovative and unique approaches to face, breast and body, Dr. Ceydeli established the first advanced follicular unit hair transplant center in the region, where numerous patients are treated with great success. The newest techniques in hair transplant require a team approach, and Dr. Ceydeli’s hair transplant center is staffed with some of the best hair technicians in the country who are trained at Bosley with many years of experience.

Despite his advanced surgical training and background, Dr. Ceydeli pioneered some of the most advanced non-invasive skin rejuvenation techniques in Florida’s Panhandle. He adapted “True Blood” skin rejuvenation technique to his practice, which is rejuvenating the skin with one’s own blood. Platelet rich plasma (rich in growth factors and stem cell markers) are obtained from the patient’s own blood and reinjected back under the skin, thus stimulating skin cells to repair and refresh themselves. Since the person’s own blood is used, this is an absolutely safe approach, and the device used to obtain the PRP is FDA approved. Even though this innovative technique has been popular in Europe, and recently gained significant popularity in US media, Dr. Ceydeli is still the only physician in northwest Florida, and one of the very few in the entire state who performs this procedure. Dr. Ceydeli also has the Northwest Florida’s most advanced skin resurfacing laser by Lumenis. This unique fractionated CO2 laser, different than its competitors like Fraxel, has the advanced technology which can treat deep acne and surgical scars by stimulating new collagen formation along with its standard use for wrinkles and brown age spots on the skin.
