Radiesse

Radiesse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) is a filler commonly used in anti-wrinkle and anti-aging treatments. It is administered via a sub-dermal injection and is currently the only dermal filler that has been cleared by the FDA for use on both the face and hands. Radiesse is derived from naturally occurring substances that make it highly bio-compatible and suitable for most patients.

A Proven Track Record

Radiesse has been on the market for over a decade and during that time has had over a hundred clinical studies performed on its effectiveness and safety. With minimal side effects and long-lasting results (over 90% of patients are still satisfied with their treatment even after a year) Radiesse has established itself as a leader in the facial-rejuvenation market.

What makes Radiesse special isn’t just its effectiveness as a filler but the fact that Calcium Hydroxylapatite can help stimulate the production of natural collagen in the skin. This makes Radiesse an effective anti-wrinkle treatment for long-term results that often last over a year.

Usage

Radiesse is most often applied for anti-aging procedures targeting the face and hands. With a G-prime rating (a measure of the elasticity or relative firmness) of over 1400, it is the most powerful dermal filler on the market today. It is regularly used to effectively treat moderate to severe signs of aging, such as deep wrinkles and loss of facial fat.

Face

On the face, Radiesse is most commonly and effectively employed in procedures that target the following areas:

•Nasolabial folds – More commonly referred to as smile lines, these wrinkles are among the first and most prominent wrinkles that people develop. A strong, natural filler like Radiesse can reduce the size and severity of your smile lines while retaining a natural look and feel to your skin.

•Jawline – Dermal fillers can be used to correct and enhance the profile of the jawline, which aids in restoring a more youthful appearance and aesthetic.

•Midface and contouring – Radiesse can be applied to help you regain the more youthful contours of your face by being used as a filler to shape the cheeks and fill out wrinkles on the chin and marionette lines, in addition to the jaw and smile line corrections listed above.

BOTOX

Because BOTOX and Radiesse are typically used to resolve different types of wrinkles, these injectable treatments can be used in concert to provide comprehensive facial aging for patients.

Post-Treatment Care

A benefit of choosing Radiesse for any facial-rejuvenation procedure that you may be considering is that very little post-treatment care is required. Minor swelling immediately after the injections can be effectively countered with little more than an ice pack or a mild anti-inflammatory. Additionally, it will be possible to apply makeup right after the treatment.
