Mag-5 Procedure (Upper and Mid Face Rejuvenation, Flowers Rejuvenation)
Eyes are the most important aesthetic unit of the face, which make us look young or old, happy or sad, tired or rested, beautiful and sexy or unattractive. Eyes are where we meet others, and where we meet ourselves every morning in the mirror.
Eyes are surrounded and supported by skin, muscle, and ligamentous structures. Some of the ligamentous structures (tarsal plates, canthal ligaments) suspend the eyeball and the eyelids securely to the eye socket, giving eye its beautiful and youthful almond shape, while others (orbital septum) keep the eyelid fat deep inside underneath the eyeball, preventing its protrusion through the skin and eliminating the unattractive eyelid bags. The muscle around the eye (orbicularis oculi) tightens the eyelids, further supporting the underlying ligamentous structures to keep the eyelid fat where it belongs, deep in the eye socket. Skin surrounds these structures as an envelope, but does not have any additional structural support.
As we age, skin, muscle, and ligamentous structures around the eye loose their tone and elasticity, followed by the eye loosing its youthful and beautiful shape. End result is round eyes, saggy and outturned eyelids with eyelid bags, and increase show of the sclera (white matter of the eye).
The eyebrows also loose their secure attachments to the underlying bone and drop downward, making the matters worse. The already saggy eyelids with the additional weight of the brows are even prone to vision problems besides the aesthetics.
The age related changes around the eyes are imminent for anyone who is over 30, although some may be lucky enough not to experience the dramatic changes for extra few more years. The end result of the aging is unavoidable, but can be fixed with a magnificent operation, MAG-5, which has five interrelated components to give the eye its youthful tone and beautiful shape. This state of the art technique was invented by Dr. Ceydeli's mentor, Dr. Robert Flowers, whom he completed an advanced aesthetic fellowship training with in Honolulu, Hawaii. The technique addresses all the unsightly results of aging around the eyes, brows and midface. The MAG-5 operation elevates and secures the brows to their original position, removes the frown (corrugator) muscles and related wrinkles, removes the excess skin and fat from the lower eyelids and restores their tone and shape, and rejuvenates the midface by moving the droopy cheek fat pad back to its original location.
This is a unique operation which treats the problems related to aging which are often overlooked by even the most experienced plastic surgeons. Many patients are misdiagnosed and undergo unnecessary facelift procedures in an attempt to rejuvenate their aging faces, however the results are usually unnatural, which give the patients an operated look. With MAG-5 operation, the face undergoes a restoration, not a transformation. Working against Mother Nature is always challenging if not impossible, however this is an area that Dr. Ceydeli can trick Mother Nature for 10-15 years with this state of the art facial rejuvenation procedure.
